History

Medical semiology is taught at the Faculty of Medicine in Cluj starting with the first years of its establishment. The discipline was introduced by Professor Ioan Goia, the father of Medical semiology in Transylvania. Since October 29, 1939 (the day recently declared official Medical Day 2), the didactic activity of semiology takes place in the building on 2-4 Clinicilor Street. Also here, the teaching of semiology was resumed after the refuge from Sibiu (1940-1944). After Prof. Ioan Goia, the clinic was led by Prof. Viorel Gligore, Prof. Alexandru Dutu, Prof. Horatiu Dan Bolosiu, Prof. Lucian Mihai Rusu, and Prof. Dan Lucian Dumitrașcu. During all this time, the clinic had and has perfect medical professionals, pedagogues, and researchers.
