Completed his high school studies in Cluj-Napoca and is a graduate of "Emil Racovita" National College. During the third (out of four) year of his high school education, he attended, for a period of two months, the regular educational program of "Holbein" High School, from Augsburg.

Subsequently, he completed the academic program of the Faculty of Medicine at "Iuliu Hatieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, during the period 2000-2006. His academic education includes a full winter semester (including examinations passed), in 2004-2005, spent at Dusseldorf University, with an Erasmus scholarship (including a clinical training at "Kaiserswerther Diakonie Klinik fur Plastische und Estethische Chirurgie").

He proved to be an active presence of the scientific research and he participated, with papers, in several national and international students’ scientific conferences (Freiburg, Viena, Cairo, Istanbul, with a first prize at the "10th International Scientific Conference for Medical Students and Young Doctors, Biochemistry and Pathology Section, Gdansk").

In 2006, he was awarded, following a strict contest, a doctoral scholarship by the Chair of Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca, with a research theme finalized by the actual PhD thesis entitled "Hand Transplantation - Clinical and Experimental Contributions". During his PhD academic program, he attended several training courses in the technical fields of interest: microsurgery, surgery of the hand, flaps reconstruction technique, aesthetic surgery (Cluj, Bucharest, Paris, Foggia, Athens, Innsbruck etc.). During this entire period, he was fully involved in the practical activity of the clinic, under all aspects.

Upon finalization of his PhD training, he was employed as "Assistentarzt" by the Clinic for Surgery of the Hand and Reconstructive Surgery within Augsburg University Hospital, during the period November 2010-2012.

He participated in numerous national and international scientific symposiums and congresses. The list of scientific papers published in extenso and in volumes of abstracts comprises 14 titles. He publicly defended his PhD thesis in June 2013 and was subsequently confirmed and bestowed the title of PhD in Medical Sciences.

Since February 2013, he becomes a university assistant lecturer within the Chair of Human Anatomy and Embryology of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca.

He is a member of The Romanian Society for Surgery of the Hand, of The Romanian Association of Plastic Surgeons.
