We organise Medical First Aid courses for medical students, dentistry, nurses and, optional, for the pharmacy students. The course brings the student face to face to clinical situations which can be solved by acquiring practical skills.
We have developed a course for the physical therapists: The Postoperative Rehabilitation for The Critical Patients, a practical course for the understanding of the critical patient with multiple organ failure.
The Anesthesia and Intensive Care course for the 6th year medical students is based on simulation training and practical clinical activities. The course covers essential knowledge on general and regional anesthesia, the intensive care in patients with multiple organ failure and all forms of shock, as well as pain therapy. The course support is available in the UMF library and bookstore.
We have participated in the development of the simulation centre, as we find learning by simulation to be essential for the training and experience of students and medical residents.
The didactic activity with the residents is in line with the European curricula. Our residents sit the European Diploma in Anesthesia at the end of their training and their results reflect our teaching skills.
We participate in the postgraduate courses in UMF Cluj, as well as in the SRATI courses for EDA preparation, CEEA courses, the National Course on Protocols in AIC. We have organised workshops with international participation on regional anesthesia.
Our research activities are focused on allegro-anesthesia, multiple trauma, sepsis, and postoperative cognitive dysfunction. We have also participated in multicentre clinical trials.
